What can you do with Qontext?
Create
Create a file at the path given. Not an upsert: a path already holding a file is a conflict, never an overwrite.
Delete
Delete a file. Its change history goes with it, so this is not reversible. A protected file, or one with changes in review, is refused.
Get
Get a file by its ID, with its full content. A file in another workspace answers as not found, so existence does not leak.
Get Many
List files. Cursor paginated, never offset: a short page does not mean the end, so page until there are no more.
Update
Rename a file, move it to another folder, or change whether writes to it go to review. Exactly one of the three per request.
Update Content
Replace the entire file content, based on the Base Change ID of the file. If the file changed first the two versions are combined when possible, so use the returned content for the next edit.
Create
Create one folder at a path, creating missing parents, or inside a parent folder when given a name. Not an upsert: an occupied path is a conflict.
Delete
Delete a folder. Refuses a folder that still has contents unless Recursive is on. The refusal changes nothing.
Get
Get a folder by its ID. A folder in another workspace answers as not found, so existence does not leak.
Get Many
List folders by path, path prefix or parent. Without a filter it lists root folders. Cursor paginated, never offset.
Update
Rename a folder in place or move it. A move takes the whole subtree and every ID survives; the paths below it change.
By Meaning
Find the files that match your query and return their content, best match first. Also matches on meaning, so it finds files that answer the query without using the same words.
By Regex
Find lines that match an RE2 regular expression, citing the file each came from. Results are not relevance-ranked.
